Denise & Sam – The Scottsdale Plaza Resort

Arizona fall weddings are simply amazing in so many ways. This is the time of year that I look forward to because of the crisp, pumpkin smells and gorgeous tree colors. Even if we live in Arizona, there are still colors changing throughout the state. Denise and Sam chose this perfect day to have their wedding at the Scottsdale Plaza Resort. As I discovered on this day, the bridal suite would be located across from the courtyard ceremony and the reception just a brief walk from there.

Nothing prepares you for the morning of your wedding. There are so many amazing memories beginning and then to start doing photos of your getting ready is really magical. Denise was getting ready with all her bridesmaids and her mom when I arrived. I introduced myself and quickly set to work on getting all the detail shots complete. I know how much I love doing these and especially the brides reactions when they see them in their wedding album. Denise and Sam decided to do a First Look (which I particularly prefer after 8 years of photography) that made way for some great locations for portraits.

Next up, the Ceremony. As everyone gathered in the walkway you could see the guests eagerly awaiting the show to start. Sam walked down the aisle and next the entire wedding party. Denise made her entrance and everyone was so wowed by her. Gorgeous and that gown was so perfectly made for her. They had a singer and shared vows in front of all their guests. Then made their way to the cocktail hour for more festivities. I loved all the stations they had and the options for all their guests. For their Grand Entrance, they welcomed their bridal party and then shared their first dance. SO many eyes were on these two. Between the great party mixes by their DJ’s, family dancing and outside bar there were more than plenty of photo ops.

Check out below for their amazing day.
