I’ve been fortunate to live a life that allows me to do what I really am passionate about, and that is photography. But I also am a firm believer in giving back to the community in whatever ways possible. Some of those ways include donating my services for wedding day photography, but also providing to charities so that they may provide to the less fortunate and provide care for others. That is why, out of every wedding package, I donate a portion to a few select charities. Each hold a special place in my heart for different reasons. Here is one that I support:
Ronald McDonald House of Phoenix, AZ: My father in law died of cancer in February of 2012. He was such a devote man to his family and God. I loved his strong ideals and he had such a compassionate heart. Lew was a dad that many wish they had in their lives and I’m one of them. My husband, Brian, and I participate in local full and half marathons to raise money for cancer awareness. There is something to be said for the 13.1 and 26.2 miles of sweat you run on race day. It reminds you how blessed you are to know men like Lew and to help others who are less fortunate with a silent disease. Lew has a room dedicated to him at the Cambridge House on the campus of Phoenix Children’s Hospital where families have a “home away from home” to be close to their children as their children battle their illness.
