They met on Match.com and had their first date. Love at first sight was definite for these two. They met for a drink at Four Peaks and completely hit it off. Sean knew to not let her get away and asked her for their second date and then later following a friend’s wedding, he proposed. He’s how he did it:
He had set up the GoPro and told me he wanted to catch a time lapse photo of the sunset, but had actually put it on record so we would have a video of the proprosal. So special! Sean pulled the ol’ “my shoe is untied” trick so he could get down on one knee, but clueless me beat him to it and went to tie his shoe for him… it’s pretty funny seeing that on video. Anyway, it was beautiful and special.
Brittny dressed in a strapless, mermaid form, sweetheart bridal gown. Her wedding rings were presented during the ceremony in a cute wooden ring box. Her colors chosen were pale pinks and golds to bring together her rustic and soft vintage look. Sean wore a dark gray tux with a pale pink tie. They had ten in their bridal party, four flower girls, and one ring bearer.
The ceremony was decorated in lanterns and wood pillars alongside an aisle of rose petals. The reception room welcomed each guest with a succulence escort card, thumbprint tree, guest tables, and kings head table fit for entire bridal party. Each table was set with white lanterns resting on books, mason jars, quoted frames, and jars wrapped in gold glitter. As the bridal party entered the room, each group took to a special entrance dance and a few did fun piggyback rides. This was a definite party and loved their speeches. Brittny’s dad said a few words with some thanks from grandma who was truly happy to see these two get married. Even their cake cutting was unexpected when Brittny decided to smear a little sweet frosting on Sean. Lots of great memories and a fun party group.
Check out more photos from their day below.
They honeymooned out in Jamaica at a Sandals all-inclusive resort so I’m sure they are very relaxed post-wedding. Such an amazing day for two great people. Here are some great tips they shared.
Words of Wisdom:
1. What was your biggest challenge and how did you overcome it? We haven’t had any HUGE challenges. We both came into this relationship with careers and a good head on our shoulders. We slowly and happily moved in together, bought a puppy, sold and bought a home together. Things are fabulous. Currently we are renovating our home, which I suppose is a stressor, but we both have the same vision. LIFE IS GOOD.
2. Do you have any savvy money saving tips to share? Marry a banker! Ha, Sean is very good and organized with finances and money. He helps us plan for retirement, while also living a fun life. Meal plan, build a retirement fund, and don’t buy something unless you can pay cash!
3. What words of wisdom can you impart on future brides and grooms? Take it easy, enjoy the planning process. The details should not run your life.
